The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2016: University of Mysore has dispatched the KSET 2016 Notification & invites the Online Applications from the Eligible candidates for Karnataka State Eligibility Test. KSET 2016 for determining the Eligibility for conditions for Recruitment of Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in Universities, Colleges, Institutes of Higher Education (Govt/ Aided/ Private) in Karnataka is scheduled to be held on 11 December 2016.
Mysore Uni KSET 2016: Hereby the Candidates are informed about the KSET 2016 Online Registration for Karnataka State Eligibility Test. The aspirants to become Lecturers/ Assistant Professors may apply Online for State Eligibility Test SET from 26th Sept to 25th October 2016 at the Entrance Portal website link as stated hereunder. Important to Note:
- Applications are invited from the eligible candidates to appear for Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) From 26-09-2016 TO 25-10-2016 (Without Late fee).
- KSET 2016 will be conducted on 11th December 2016 for determining eligibility for Lecturer / Assistant Professorship.
- KSET center will be conducting this year 2016 test in 39 subjects at eleven (11) nodal centers spread across the Karnataka state.

Online Applications are invited from the Eligible candidates who fulfill the below mentioned adaptation from 26th September 2016 to 25th October 2016 (WLF), upto 4th November (RS 150/- Late Fee). The Online Application form can be filled at the above link/ and (kset.uni-mysore.ac.in)
Whereas the Last date for submission of hard copy of the application is 10th November 2016 (form along with copy of receipt/e-challan, category certificates, to the respective nodal center).

KSET 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for general category and 50% for SC/ ST/ PWD, Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB, in master’s degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi.
Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also appear for this Test.
(There shall be no Age Limit).
KSET 2016 Exam Scheme/Exam Dates
The test will be consisting of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only Multiple-choice Questions (MCQ). The test will be held on 11th December, 2016 in two separate sessions as mentioned below.

Karnataka KSET Selection Process: 2016
Candidates who qualify the KSET -2016 are governed by the recruitment rules and regulations stipulated for Lecturers / Assistant Professors of concerned Universities / Colleges / Institutions (Government/ Aided /Private) of Karnataka State.

Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Exam Syllabus: 2016
Paper-I: General Paper is on Teaching and Aptitude:
This Paper shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching / research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness (relating to Karnataka state geographical, climate, environment, historical, political, social, economic, education and technological knowledge) of the candidate. In the event of candidate attempting more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated and within that if grace marks awarded at later stage before declaration of the results to any question even if the candidate un-attempted then such questions will also be included in the count while counting the first 50 questions.
Paper-II: Subject Paper:
This Paper shall consist of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each paper will consist of a Test Booklet containing 50 compulsory Multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of two marks each and maximum marks will be 100.
Paper-III: Subject paper (In depth questions):
This Paper will consist of 75 Multiple-choice (MCQ) compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidates. Each question will carry two marks and maximum marks will be 150.
