The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has notified about the Detailed Under-Graduate Entrance Test (UET) 2017-18 Admission Prospectus. BHU for providing Admissions to the various Undergraduate (General/ Professional/ Vocational) Courses as given hereunder for the Session 2017-2018. Admissions will be made according to merit in the UET, subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements mentioned below and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Entrance Test. Online Applications for UET 2017 shall be filled from Jan-Feb to Feb-March 2017 at Online UET portal.

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU)  UG Entrance Test 2017 Admissions: The Online Applications for the Under Graduate Entrance Test UET 2017 shall commence from Jan-Feb months & can be filled Online at the UG Entrance Test portal link as given hereunder. UET Entrance will be conducted for Admissions to numerous UG Courses (Arts, Humanities, Science, Commerce, Law, Education etc) for the session 2017-18. The BHU University invites the Applications at the Entrance Test Portal ( / Or BHU UET Admission Link. The entire process of making an Application for admission in various courses during the academic session 2017-18 is ONLINE. The candidates desirous of admissions shall be required to register on the Entrance Test portal of BHU and fill up the application form ONLINE as per procedure provided on the Portal.

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Ag.), if he/she has passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology) with 50% aggregate marks
LL.B. (Hons.) (Bachelor of Laws)


B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years

Applicant who has successfully completed/ is appearing Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized University
B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in Sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
B.P.A. ( Bachelor of Performing Arts) Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination OR a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree; and (b) Vocal Music/Instrumental Music/Dance (Kathak/Bharatnatyam) as one of the subjects
B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts)


Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate

Candidates appearing in the Final Year of the Qualifying Examination may also apply and appear in the Test. However, the candidate will be required to produce the original mark sheet of the qualifying examination at the time of counseling for getting admission.

Age Relaxation: There is an age relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PC categories and 3 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to OBC category


The admission of a candidate in a course will be done only when he/she satisfies all the eligibility requirements, appears in the UET, qualifies in the Entrance Test and completes all formalities required for admission in the course. The admissions shall be made strictly on the basis of merit index in the UET, availability of seats in the course, as per university rules


Candidates can download the ADMIT CARD from the BHU Entrance Test Portal ( around one week prior to date of conduct of test providing the unique registration ID allotted to them at the time of online submission of application form


The Test will be held at the following Centres, provided there are sufficient number of candidates for the concerned:

Varanasi, Mirzapur*, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Vadodara, Guwahati, Dimapur, Kochi, Jaipur, Allahabad, Bhubaneshwar, *Rajiv Gandhi South Campus – Barkachha, Mirzapur

BHU UET 2017-18 Entrance Test Result/ Counseling: 2017

Banaras Hindu University after coordinating the UET 2017 will make the Announcement  of Under Graduate Entrance Test-UET 2017 Entrance Result along with the Merit list of the candidates through the Rank Cards. Subsequently to the announcement of result BHU Admission council shall commence the counselling procedure on the prescribed dates, after the Merit list for Admissions to the various colleges.
