SSC MTS Notification 2016, Multi-Tasking Staff Recruitment Form,Syllabus:
Briefly state in respect of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Notification on Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination-2016 for recruitment to different Posts in different Departments under various Ministries in the Union Territories and States of India in the subsequent Paragraphs. The Staff Selection Commission is set to release on the 8th of October 2016 Detailed Notification in respect of the All India Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) Examination 2016 for submission of the Online Application Forms by the Candidates.
Online Registration commences on the 8th of October 2016 (08.10.2016) with the Deadline for Online Application Forms closing on the 7th of November 2016. There is No Application / Examination Fee for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Positions. For the Candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for the Candidates residing abroad who send application by Post 14.11.2016 (up to 05.00 PM).
Applications Received Later than the Dates notified hereinabove above Will Not Be Entertained.
For the Candidates of these areas sending application Online, the Closing Date will remain the same i.e., 07.11.2016.
The Commission shall conduct countrywide, All India Competitive Examination Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2016 consisting of Two (02) Papers Paper – I in Objective Format and Paper II in Descriptive Form. The Staff Selection Commission notified Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test shall be held on the 8th of January 2017 (08.01.2017) and the 22nd of January 2017 (22.01.2017) respectively across the country. Paper II shall be organized on the same day.
Age Limit (As On 01.01.2017)
Un-Reserved / General Category Candidate should have attained Minimum 18 Years but must not be above Maximum 25 Years.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limits to the Reserved Candidates.
The Candidate must have passed High School Certificate Examination / Matriculation Examination / Secondary School Certificate Examination OR Equivalent from any Board of Secondary Education recognized by the Central Government / State Government.
The Candidates who have not acquired / shall not acquire the Educational Qualification as on the Closing Date of receipt of the Online Application Forms are not / would not be Eligible and, therefore, need not apply.
SSC Multi-Tasking (NT) Staff Exam 2016 Admit Card
The Staff Selection Commission shall release the e-Admission Certificates / Hall Examination Tickets for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2017 TWO WEEKS / THREE WEEKS before commencement of the All India Competitive Examination / Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2016 participating Candidates. We would publish Quicker Alert in this regard for the ready reference of the Candidates. The Commission shall upload the Hall Exam Tickets / Admit Cards on the SSC Website.
Syllabus and Scheme of the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination – 2016
The Staff Selection Commission shall conduct Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test consisting of Two Papers (Paper I & Paper II) Paper I containing 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) and Paper II having Short Essay / Letter Writing here under:

Paper – I will consist of the 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions only.
The Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type will be set / printed both in English & Hindi Languages.
There shall be Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks / ¼ Marks for each Wrong Answer given by the Candidates.
The Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the Multiple Choice Questions.
Paper II will be Conventional and shall be Descriptive in nature; the Paper would be only of Qualifying Nature.
However, if it is conducted on a subsequent Date then the Paper will be conducted for those who are shortlisted on the basis of their individual performance in Paper I.
Mode of Selection:
The Staff Selection Commission notified Selection shall be as being repeated in the latter part.
The Minimum Cut-off Marks in Paper-I for the Vacancies in each State / Union Territory will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. The Candidates for each State / Union Territory will be FINALLY SELECTED BASED ON THEIR RESPECTIVE PERFORMANCE IN PAPER – I.
Success in the Examination confers no right of Appointment unless the State Government / Union Territory Government is not satisfied after such Enquiry, as may be considered necessary, that the candidate is suitable in all respects of Appointment to the Service / Post.
Resolution of TIE Cases:
In cases where more than one Candidate secure Equal Aggregate Marks, the TIE will be resolved by applying the following Methods one after another:
- By referring to the Marks in Part-I of the Objective Type Paper.
- By referring to the Marks in Part-II of the Descriptive Type Paper.
- Date of Birth, i.e., the Candidate Older in Age gets Preference.
- By referring to the Alphabetical Order of the Names taking First Name into consideration.

Admission into the Examination:
All the Eligible Candidates who apply in response to this Advertisement by the CLOSING DATE will be assigned the Roll numbers / Examination Enrollment Numbers in the forms of the e-Admit Cards / Hall Tickets. These will be communicated to them or placed on the Website of the Staff Selection Commission Regional Office concerned Minimum Two Weeks before the Date of the Examination.
Any Candidate must write his / her Roll Number along with his / her Name, Date of Birth and the Name of the Examination while addressing any communication to the Commission. The Communication shall not entertain the said particulars from Candidate stated above.
Admission Certificates (ACs) for the All India Competitive Examination indicating the Time Table and also the Venues of Examination for each Candidate would be issued to all the Applicants around Three Weeks before the date of the All India Level Competitive Examination.
The Candidates who apply Online but are unable to download their Admission Certificates or do not receive their Hall Examination Tickets at least One Week before the date of the Examination should contact the concerned Regional Office with details, such as, Registration Id for obtaining the Admission Cards. Details of Deficiency in online applications, if any, will also be placed on the Commission’s Website Minimum Two Weeks before the Competitive Examination.
The Candidates must carry Minimum One Photograph bearing their individual Identity Proof, such as, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, College / University Id Card, Income Tax PAN, while attending the All India Competitive Examination, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear for the Competitive Examination.
The Candidates should bring 03 Passport Size Photographs for affixing it in the Commission’s Copy of Admission Certificate in the presence of the Invigilator, if required. The Candidates not carrying their respective photographs (as stated previously) will not be allowed to appear in the said Competitive Examination. The Candidate are advised to keep 10 Copies of the same Photograph, which was uploaded / affixed in the Online Application Form, with them till the completion of the Entire Examination Process to facilitate easy Identification.
